RNAQ Foundation Launches Mobile Food Bank After First Year of Free Meals

The RNAQ Foundation, founded by Ghanaian entrepreneur Richard Nii Armah Quaye, has launched a Mobile Food Bank initiative to expand access to free meals across Ghana.

The launch comes after the foundation’s first year of operations, during which it served more than three million meals.

Furthermore, the Mobile Food Bank will operate nationwide, taking services closer to homes and neighborhoods in direct response to community feedback. No identification card is required, and beneficiaries may simply collect a hot meal and eat.

From 13 Branches to a Nationwide Mobile Food Bank

The RNAQ Food Bank began in August 2025 with early centres in Korle Gonno, Kasoa, and Ashaiman. Moreover, it later grew to approximately 13 branches across Greater Accra, Central, Ashanti, Northern, and Bono East regions, including Kumasi, Tamale, Cape Coast, and Techiman.

Therefore, the launch of the Mobile Food Bank marks a significant expansion of the foundation’s reach beyond fixed locations. The new initiative ensures that free meals are available to anyone in need, regardless of where they live across Ghana.

Three Million Meals and a Mission Rooted in Personal Experience

Around its first anniversary in August 2026, the RNAQ Foundation announced that it had served more than three million meals to Ghanaians in need. In addition, the initiative is deeply personal for founder Richard Nii Armah Quaye, whose childhood in Korle Gonno was marked by days when regular meals were not always certain.

As a result, the foundation’s stated mission is to restore dignity by providing one hot meal a day, free of charge. The Mobile Food Bank expansion continues that commitment with a clear message: no one should go hungry.
