Hon. Hajia Safia Mohammed, a leading aspirant for the position of NPP National Women’s Organiser, has donated GH₵5,000 to market women and traders affected by the devastating fire and flood outbreak at the Circle Odorna Market in Accra.
During her visit to the affected traders, Hon. Hajia Safia Mohammed expressed deep sympathy for the victims who lost their goods and livelihoods as a result of the destruction caused by the recent heavy rains and fire outbreak. She used the occasion to offer words of encouragement to the affected market women, assuring them of her continued support and solidarity during this difficult period.
Hon. Hajia Safia Mohammed also used the visit to make a passionate appeal to President John Dramani Mahama and the government to urgently step in and assist the victims by providing improved market structures and the necessary resources to help them rebuild their businesses and restore their livelihoods.
